Cleethorpes and District Athletic Club is one of the premier clubs in North East Lincolnshire.
It caters for all ages and abilities in track and field - both indoor and outdoor - plus road running, cross country and fell running events.
It also caters for the absolute beginner and holds 'beginners and joggers nights'.
The club boasts a number of well-qualified and dedicated coaches with a strong management committee who work tirelessly and quietly behind the scenes to ensure the club provides quality coaching, good competition, friendly guidance and advice, as well as working in partnership with other clubs, UK Athletics and the local authority.
The Clee AC social scene is wide and varied and there are activities and events that suit almost everyone.
Group training sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm, with the road runners currently meeting at the club headquarters at Cleethorpes Cricket Club, off Chichester Road, Cleethorpes.
The beginners' group, under the guidance of Pete Stevens and Malcolm Simons, meet at King George Stadium track on Friday evenings from 6pm.
Pockets of road running athletes work together on other days of the week by mutual arrangement.
Anyone interested in joining can visit the club HQ on a Tuesday or Thursday to find out more.
Clee AC organises a host of popular events on the local running calendar.
These include the Cleethorpes New Year's Day 10K, which attracts athletes from far and wide, and the monthly 5K series along Cleethorpes Seafront, which runs through the winter months.
