Lace-up for 5K

THE next race in Cleethorpes AC's 5K series takes place on Tuesday night.

The race is open to unattached runners of all abilities as well as club athletes.

Register beforehand on the night at Cleethorpes Cricket Club, off Chichester Road.

The race starts at 6.45pm on the promenade close to the Leisure Centre.

The following Sunday, the annual Barton Cross Country Championships takes place in Baysgarth Park.

There is a full programme of races for all age groups.

The first race gets underway at 11.15am, while the last event starts at 2.15pm.

The races are held over a relatively flat parkland course.

Entries will be accepted on the day.
