New teams sought

Saturday, March 06, 2010, 06:30

THE Grimsby & District Football League, sponsored by ABP, are looking for new teams to join the Saturday league for the 2010/11 season.

League rules allow applications to be received from teams based within a 25-mile radius of St James' Church in Grimsby.

The league, established in 1896 and affiliated to the Lincolnshire FA, has a long and proud history and needs the support of the local community to ensure it continues to provide organised 11-a-side football in the area.

The league is also interested in hearing from anyone who has any suggestions or ideas on how it can improve the way it's run and administered.

For more information, contact League secretary, Trevor Albery on 01472 231646 or chairman Phil Storr on 01652 659073.
