Group: Member Posts: Joined: Wed Nov 7 2007 Status: Offline | Well done to the lads, I really believe they gave their all but unfortunately on the day the were playing an outstanding MK Dons side who i'm sure will be playing in the championship within 2 seasons. And what about a mention for the 25,000 or so Mariners that descended on Wembley? The noise and support they gave the team was incredible. We easily out sung the MK fans (only heard them when they scored). And so what if 20,000 of them had jumped on the bandwagon - they made it an experience, even though we didn't get the result. The better team won on the day, but at least our lads gave their all - that's why this loss is not as sour as Cheltenham at Cardiff. Up the Mariners!! |
