Vice-captain's team on form

GILL Kapka's team took the honours in the annual captain versus vice-captain match-play competition at Cleethorpes Golf Club.

The vice-captain's line-up proved formidable and took the trophy from lady captain Shirley Grant.

The afternoon got off to a 'miserly' start weatherwise but brightened up considerably as the afternoon progressed and the competition was well supported throughout.

As for the golf itself, there were some tightly fought games and plenty of banter in the clubhouse afterward as the ladies enjoyed tea and biscuits.
