Humberston Park

HUMBERSTON Park is a nine-hole course in Humberston Avenue which was established 38 years ago.
It has six par threes and three par fours and is challenging while not physically demanding.
Some of the fairways are tight with internal and external out-of-bounds adding to the difficulty.
It starts with two uphill par threes and these are followed by three par fours, the longest of which is the fifth at 303 yards.
This has out of bounds on the left coupled with a blind drive and is called The Graveyard.
The seventh is the feature hole, a 133-yard par three with out of bounds on the right and trees on the left guarding a saucer green.
It is called Seventh Heaven though other descriptions have been heard on the course.
An accurate tee shot is  needed to hit and hold the green.
An uphill par three with an attractive two-tier green follows and the round concludes with a 165-yard downhill par three to a blind green.
Humberston Park demands accuracy and is ideal for sharpening up the short game.
