Buoyant Bennett

STEPHEN Bennett goes into the second round of the Chang Thailand Senior Masters this morning in equal 16th place.

The 50-year-old carded a three-under-par first round of 69 at the Royal Gems Golf Club to sit five shots off the lead.

Birdies at the third, fourth, seventh and ninth holes made it a superb front nine for the Waltham Windmill pro with just the one a bogey at the 15th.
