Seventh heaven for Youth team

GRIMSBY Town's Under-18s completed a memorable week with another impressive Youth Alliance North East Conference victory.

The young Mariners beat high-flying Chesterfield 3-2 at Cheapside, Waltham to make it seven straight victories for Adam Smith's side.

A brace from Kieran Smith and a Dayle Southwell strike saw Town edge it having beaten league leaders York seven days earlier and clinched a Midlands Floodlit Youth Cup final spot on Monday.

The Youth team are at home again on Saturday when they entertain Hartlepool at Cheapside (11am).
