Vaus on the fast track to racing success
The nine-year-old Grimsby-born kart racer is preparing to make his debut in this year's 2010 ELF Super 1 British Cadet Karting National Championship.
This will be major step up for the talented speedster, but in 2009 he showed he can compete at national level, and is excited about the prospect of competing in the race series where Button and Hamilton won their British Cadet titles in 1991 and 1995 respectively.
The championship consists of seven rounds around the UK, the first starting in March in Oxfordshire.
Then it's off to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland before three further rounds in England.
This year's events will all be televised on SKY Motors TV and with a full entry of 51 of the UK's top cadet drivers, it is sure to be very close racing.
In January, Vaus joined one of the UK's top kart racing teams Eclipse Motorsport. The team now has three cadets – Vaus , 11-year-old Conner Hall and 12-year-old Conner Jupp.
In preparation for the forthcoming British Championship rounds, all three boys have put in very strong performances for the team at recent rounds at PFI near Newark, taking the win in January's and February's race meetings.
