Elsewhere, Blossom Way A won 5-3 at home against Clee Home Guard when 2-0s from Paul Simpson, Tony Parkin, Ashley Jackson and Anthony Hepton were complemented with a single from Kev Gowing and Kent Phillips against Mark Stevens and John Hughes.
At 5-1 down, the visitors were grateful to Peter Dyke-French and Craig Taylor, who won the last two frames.
Lynn Powell, Phil Watts, Phil Spillman and Gordon Abernethy won the first three frames for AMS (UK) at Hainton A but a single from Dave Bartlett and Shane Newbold and 2-0s from Tony Storr, Ray Hammond, George Bartlett and Tony Lamberton gave the home team a 5-3 victory.
West End A won by the same score when a last board 2-0 from Andrew Warner and Dave Webster saw them beat a plucky Clee Cons A at Manor Avenue. Earlier, visitors Mick Springall, B Wilkinson, Rob Willerton, Richard Gough, Jimmy Yeats and Paul Lidgard gave Sandy Young, Mike Lee, Paul King, Dave Dixon, Cliff Goldsack and Euan Hunter a run for their money when sharing their frames.
With no score-sheet received from the Birds Eye versus Westlands match in Section A, Cromwell go top of the table following a 5-3 home win against Stamford Homes B.
An opening four-frame salvo from Ian Taylor, Graham Boddy, Sid Bird and Roy Wilson Snr set them on their way before a last frame single from Les Pigg and Dave Elshaw against Den and Lee Leggett sealed the win. Chris Madsen and Glen Leggett won the other two frames for the visitors.
Stamford Homes A were hit for six when John and Albert Potterton, and Myles Kennan and Mally Avenall all won 2-0 for Blossom Way B and Stuart Gibb, Lee Richardson, Brian O'Bee and Roger Santon shared with John Baker, Bill Richardson, and John and Peter Dannatt.
The derby game at Healing Legion turned out to be a one-sided affair when a single from Craig Brocklebank and John Horne, together with 2-0s from Barry Pearce, Graham Young, Dave Lainchbury, Gary Wright, Colin Draper and Drew Winship gave the B team a 7-1 victory.
Mike Crooks and Pete Krofchak saved the whitewash for the A team.
The match of the week in Section B came when Cue World, who have been on a good run of late, played host to West End B, who were top of the table.
The visitors started well when Byron Simpson, Barry Jebson, Walt Simpson and Jim Webster won two of the first three frames but from then on it all went sour. Chris Holgeth, Neil Wherrett, Dave Dobbs and George Marshall won singles to level the match before a late flurry from Clive Jenkins, Graham Frosdick, Andy Rouse and Cameron Dunlop won the last four frames to give the home team a 6-2 victory and switch places with their opponents at the top of the table.
Hainton B lost at Carr Lane C when Dave and Pete Cullum, and Colin Grey and Jim McLachlan all won 2-0 and Darren McCue and Neil Batts won a single in a 5-3 victory.
Standard A romped to a 7-1 win at home against Clee Bowls B when Dave Rushby, John Brocklesby, Jack Bradshaw, Tony Eglin, Paul Abbott and Frank Barber all won 2-0.
The slam was saved when Mick Parker and Pete Hirst won a single against Dave James and Geoff Brown.
A 2-0 win from Terry Lloyd and Bob Young was enough to give Healing Men's a 5-3 victory at home against Standard C. They were supported by Jamie Robinson, Ben Stowe, Andy Stanley, Bill Childs, and Den and Jamie Wallis who won singles against Ray Revell, Art McDougall, Daz Roche, Dave Elford, Mally Scales and Daz Burrows.
