Evans chance

FORMER Manchester United youngster Sean Evans is set to figure for Grimsby Town's Reserves in tonight's cup clash at Sunderland.

The Mariners' second-string travel to Wearside to take on the Premier League outfit in their second totesport.com League Cup Group Three clash after a 1-1 home draw with Hartlepool in their only previous game back in August.

Sunderland currently top the four-team group that also includes Scunthorpe United after a 2-1 win in their opener against the Iron at Glanford Park.

Alongside trialist winger Evans in the Town team will be a host of senior players including Bradley Wood, Joe Widdowson, Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro, Chris Jones, Danny Boshell and Barry Conlon.

Tonight's match takes place at Eppleton Colliery Welfare's ground in Hetton le Hole and kicks-off at 7pm with entry £3 for adults, £1 for concessions.
